The award-winning St Mungo Museum explores the importance of religion in peoples' lives across the world and across time.

It aims to promote understanding and respect between people of different faiths and of none.

The museum is spread across three floors and is and ideal place for schools and groups to learn about people's faiths around the world.

At St Mungo Museum you can:

  • Explore some of the world's religions including Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism
  • Reflect on stunning works of art inspired by religious belief including the awesome figure of the Hindu god Shiva
  • Unwind and relax in the peaceful setting of Britain's first Japanese Zen Garden, overlooked by Glasgow Cathedral and the Necropolis
  • See major temporary exhibitions throughout the year
